Barry Silbert announced the campaign at the end of last week with the national advertisement pushing for more awareness on crypto assets such as bitcoin, as well as other alternative cryptocurrencies. For those that don’t know, Silbert is the parent company CEO of Grayscale.
This is extremely bullish news for the crypto space and the community are very excited about the future of this development. They are hoping that the campaign will have a positive impact on the price of bitcoin as a result of this advertisement.
But whereas the crypto industry is excited about the future of this, one man is less than enthusiastic. Peter Schiff, the well-known gold enthusiast isn’t happy about the advertisement campaign. He believes it is an attempt to mislead investors into buying into the leading cryptocurrency once more.
According to him, an earlier campaign in which the company encouraged investors against buying gold, didn’t go down well. This is because gold is up 60% with investors who dropped Gold for bitcoin are now down to 16% on their overall investment.
He further says:
“Grayscale is about to run another ad campaign duping investors into buying #Bitcoin. Since @barrysilbert urged investors to drop #gold the price is 60%. If you did and bought Bitcoin, not only did you miss the gains in gold, but you’re down as much as 16% on Bitcoin.”
It will be interesting to see how this situation plays out. For more news on this and other crypto updates, keep it with CryptoDaily!
