ADA token gets a listing on Bitfinex platform
  • Bitfinex announced early this week that the third generation blockchain for Cardano has now got its native token listed on the platform.
  • This will mean the token be listed for trading in three different trading pairs including bitcoin, the US dollar and tether.

Bitfinex, the Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency platform announced early this week that the third generation blockchain for Cardano has now got its native token listed on the platform. This will mean the token be listed for trading in three different trading pairs including bitcoin, the US dollar and tether. Trading commenced early this week on the 6th of August.

After an outcry from the community, the platform decided to list the token for trading.

They said:

“In response to community demand, we’re pleased to announce that Bitfinex has listed Cardano (ADA.”

All of this comes on the back of the launch of a decentralised Shelley mainnet. This was one of the most highly anticipated events for the community as well as the overall Crypto space. Currently, it is running smoothly with more than 650 stake pools and is gaining more attention on a daily basis.

From here, the blockchain and ecosystem promises to deliver a different and efficient working approach to scaling as well as securing decentralised governance and ecosystems.

During the launch of the Shelley phase, the founder of the network, Charles Hoskinson said the team should have it easier from here on out as staking polls will allow the community to get some more involved in governance as well as future developments on the platform.

It will be interesting to see how this situation plays out. For more news on this and other crypto updates, keep it with CryptoDaily!
