- Charles Hoskinson has taken a step back from the Cardano ecosystem following an apparent scam occurring using the project as a way to fool Chinese farmers.
- The head of marketing at HashKey Hub, took to Twitter to reveal that a roadshow in China was allegedly hosted by 8BTC is pyramid selling.
The chief executive officer of IOHK, Charles Hoskinson has taken a step back from the Cardano ecosystem following an apparent scam occurring using the project as a way to fool Chinese farmers.
The head of marketing at HashKey Hub, Mo Li took to Twitter to reveal that a roadshow in China was allegedly hosted by 8BTC is shilling the token to old farmers three pyramid selling.

It didn’t take long for Hoskinson to ask Li for more information as the event seems to be using his picture and Cardano’s branding without any official permission.

On Twitter, Hoskinson said the following in response to the video:
“These events have nothing to do with ADA or its recent appreciation. They are illegal. The people running them often just take the money and run. You know I have nothing to do with then. They have no affiliation with anyone in the Cardano ecosystem.”
