Crypto advocate, Jonathan Herzog running for US House of Representatives under the Democrats

Jonathan Herzog is a well-known cryptocurrency advocate within the United States government and it has come out earlier this week that he is running for election to the United States house of representatives in the primary against his fellow Democrat, Jerry Nadler. 

The latter has represented New York 10th congressional district since 2013 meaning his seven years would be coming to an end if Jonathan takes his position.

At the end of May, on the 23rd, Herzog took to Twitter to his almost 6000 follower base saying:

Herzog is pushing for digital assets as a campaign issue and is also a well-known supporter of universal basic income for the United States. In terms of talking about Jerry Nadler, Herzog has said that he has fallen asleep at the wheel when it comes to cryptocurrencies.

The candidate has had a positive response to his campaign from the crypto space but it seems that there is a lack of faith in him gaining the position in the House of Representatives.

Some users on Reddit have said that he has no chance of winning in his district but hope that he would help other universal basic income candidates who do have a chance of getting a seat.
