EOS, the well-known cryptocurrency project spearheaded by the CEO of Block.one, Brendan Blumer, is two years old this week!
To celebrate the anniversary of the project, the CEO took to Twitter to say that he is very grateful to be a part of the team behind the token. He describes the team as the most performance and aligned public blockchain out there.
I’m so excited that that that I can’t even think straight!

Several members of the EOS community were probably hoping for the price of the asset to spike to commemorate the second anniversary of the project. Even though its performance has been rather lacklustre in that regard, it’s still an impressive feat for the company.
During the flash crash of March this year, the acid took a big hit of more than 70% to a low of $1.28. Luckily, the acid has recovered somewhat but it’s weak fundamentals and the controversies surrounding it have always been a big factor when it comes to its rally. The blockchain has been accused of centralisation on numerous occasions and the United States-based research firm Weiss crypto ratings have even downgraded its technology score due to these worries.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Who knows if this will be the best year for EOS as Brendan has said?
