Known as Bitcoin Jesus, Roger Ver recently took to Twitter in explaining why he no longer promotes the original cryptocurrency. He was very strong in advocating the principles of bitcoin until 2017 when he joined bitcoin cash instead.
As one of the most influential players in the crypto space, Rogers' words carry a lot of weight in the industry. For a long time now he has been one of the biggest advocates for bitcoin cash which he claims is better than the leading crypto coin, bitcoin.
Taking to Twitter earlier this week on the 23rd of April, Roger said that he would happily continue promoting the leading cryptocurrency if it worked as money. Instead, he said he would be embarrassed to promote such a coin in today’s climate. You can see the tweets below:
If Bitcoin still worked as money, I would gladly continue promoting it.

Today I would be embarrassed to promote something with as bad of a user experience as BTC. That’s why I now promote Bitcoin Cash.https://t.co/iu2e2nVH6B
It didn’t take long for crypto Twitter to respond to the BCH advocate. The CIO of Atlanta digital currency fund, Alistair Milne responded to Ver slating bitcoin cash in the process.
You should be embarrassed about the absolute state of Bcash... 🤦🏻♂️ pic.twitter.com/5szac3RA60
