The exotic (but not too exotic) famed computer programmer and crypto advocate, John McAfee has recently announced that he is working on his own privacy coin called ghost.

Over the weekend on the 11th of April, McAfee tweeted that the ghost coin will be underpinned by a proof of stake algorithm and will be tradable against a leading cryptocurrencies thanks to atomic swaps on the McAfeeDex decentralised platform. He said, “With a DEX/privacy coin combo we now have full control of our finances!”

McAfee says that he is wanted in the United States for evading tax and is well known for being a longtime bullish member of the cryptocurrency community and a figure of controversy within the space.

The last crypto asset that McAfee launched was an ERC-20 token which was called "Epstein Did Not Kill Himself" under the ticket, WHACKD.

The token seems to be exclusively trading on his own decentralise platform however at the minute, it has next to 0 liquidity. Just two transactions seem to have been processed by the WHACKD network over the past day.

It will be interesting to see how this situation plays out. For more news on this and other crypto updates, keep it with CryptoDaily!
