It has been no secret that the upcoming stablecoin from Facebook has been riddled with the controversy over the past 12 months. There are many questions still on answered in regards to if the stable coin is even going to see release.

The CEO of Bison Trails, Joe Lallouz recently spoke in a podcast where he shared his thoughts on the launch of the cryptocurrency and the promises made in the white paper last year.

As one of the founding members of the Libra Association, Joe agreed on the idea that the stablecoin could create financial inclusion, however, he did note that it wasn’t any different in terms of creating a better system for transferring and moving money around to what is currently in place in the financial system today. 

He has said:

“It’s not all that different from the broader blockchain and crypto mission as well. Everybody in the space is trying to solve a very similar problem, which is how do we create a fairer, more open, and more transparent ecosystem.”

On top of this, he added that the Association is currently very busy with the launch of the actual cryptocurrency and other backend operation.
