MonkeyLeague steps up its game with AC Milan partnership

MonkeyLeague has an exciting new partnership that's sure to take them to the top. The turn-based, Web3 football game will be working closely with Italian champions AC Milan to bring the title into the big leagues.

Commenting on the deal, Oren Langberg, MonkeyLeague's Head of Marketing and Partnerships, stated:

"Partnering with champions like AC Milan, an absolute iconic club throughout football's history, is another testament to what we’re building and where we’re headed as a game and game studio. It also represents a key step in our plans to bridge the Web2 and Web3 worlds."

Casper Stylsvig, Chief Revenue Officer of AC Milan, added:

"We are thrilled to kick off this partnership with MonkeyLeague, a collaboration that allows us to strengthen our positioning in the field of digital innovation."

MonkeyLeague is a play-to-earn football game powered by the Solana network and built by the Web3 startup UnCaged Studios. The company boasts more than 100 years of combined game design experience and is chaired by tech and Web3 entrepreneur Shahaf Bar Geffen.

The turn-based game sees players build their teams of NFT players and level up their attributes by competing against other gamers. MonkeyLeague also has a native token, MonkeyBucks (MBS), which is central to its play-to-earn functions.

A press release detailing the partnership states that MonkeyLeague will be collaborating with AC Milan on a new collection of branded NFT assets. They include new MonkeyPlayers, skins and stadiums. UnCaged Studios is hoping the association with one of the biggest names in European football will ensure considerable demand for the tokens.

The first batch is due to go on sale on the Solana NFT marketplace MagicEden on [insert date]. The event will see the most exclusive AC Milan MonkeyPlayer NFTs sold via auction. Those buying the rarest of these in-game characters will also receive a physical AC Milan shirt signed by the whole team.

AC Milan will also sponsor exclusive MonkeyLeague tournaments, inviting the best gamers to compete for branded prizes. The press release lists VIP tickets to the San Siro stadium in Milan and signed shirts. Additional perks of the partnership include AC Milan players playtesting MonkeyLeague, sponsored wearables and co-marketing events.

Breed champions with MonkeyLeague

As anyone who's spent any time around NFTs will tell you, utility is key to long-term value. Well aware of this, UnCaged Studios is also launching its first MonkeyPlayer NFT breeding season to coincide with its AC Milan partnership.

In addition to their usage in the gameplay itself, gamers can breed their NFTs to produce new players. For the first installment of the breeding season, players participating will randomly receive AC Milan-branded NFTs, which include stadiums and land.
