Crypto.com to offer the first UFC NFT collectibles

The Crypto.com/UFC collaboration has come to fruition as the very first fight NFTs become available tomorrow on the Crypto.com platform.

In the largest sponsorship deal for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) back in July, an agreement was signed that amounted to a $175 million collaboration. This deal has now started to bear fruit as the very first NFT collectibles will be available to buy from tomorrow on the Crypto.com platform.

On 4 November, the ‘UFC 268 Packs’ will be released. The packs will include fight posters and belt designs from the much-anticipated Usman vs. Covington 2 return fight.

According to the Crypto.com official blog:

“This drop includes 2,999 NFTs that vary in rarity, featuring limited edition shards, posters and a belt plate based on UFC 268. Collectors will be entered into the UFC 268 Collection Sweepstakes to win UFC gift cards, Fight Pass subscriptions, and more.”

The packs retail at USD 40 each and enclose a UFC 268 collectible. According to the blog, users can only purchase a maximum of 2 packs each. Finding certain NFTs in their packs will gain the user automatic entry to UFC 268 Collection Sweepstakes.

The Crypto.com partnership with UFC gives the cryptocurrency trading platform yet another foothold in the sports industry, following on from deals with Formula 1, La Lega Seria A Italian soccer, Paris St Germain (French league) the NBA, and the NHL Montreal Canadiens.

On an individual basis, the company also has a collaboration with Rapp musician Snoop Dog, and recently it got together with film star Matt Damon to do global TV ads to help promote Crypto.com.
