Frontier, a chain agnostic DeFi aggregator that allows users to manage their DeFi applications and assets from a safe and straightforward portal, has announced a strategic partnership with Ethereum Push Notification Services (EPNS) to support decentralized notifications.
The partnership will allow Frontier to send notifications to users in a platform-agnostic manner. (mobile, web, wallet, etc.) Frontier is blockchain agnostic and can support multiple DeFi protocols such as Aave, Compound, MakerDAO, and Uniswap.
Highlights of The Collaboration
Frontier’s collaboration with EPNS will see the implementation of the EPNS protocol and decentralized push notifications on the Frontier Wallet. Some of the highlights of the cooperation are
- Implementing new features and ironing out potential bugs, ensuring smooth integration.
- Exploring the protocol usage within the Frontier app.
- Explore the possibility of building an SDK that can be deployed as a Plug And Play solution for crypto-wallets.
- Future integration with Frontier Wallet.
Frontier hopes that the collaboration and association with EPNS will lead to innovation and advancement and provide users with segmented and rectified solutions.
The Frontier Chain Incentivized Testnet Goes Live
Frontier has also announced that its Frontier Chain Incentivized Testnet is live. Codenamed Black Mamba, and powered by Cosmos SDK, the announcement marks the start of Frontier Chain’s journey to becoming a decentralized key management blockchain.
Frontier is closely working with Kava Labs, its incubator and strategic partner, to help improve Frontier Chain and add more modules.
EPNS Highlights Its Roadmap For 2021
EPNS has also revealed its roadmap for 2021, designed to improve and develop the ecosystem. The roadmap addresses key issues that EPNS plans to address to help it achieve maximum impact with the first iteration of the EPNS Protocol.
This will also allow the team to deploy the protocol on the Ethereum mainnet, with the necessary APIs and SDKs built into it.
EPNS will be focusing on the following categories
- EPNS Protocol
- PUSH Nodes
- Governance of EPNS Protocol
- Front-end Products
- Documentation and development SDKs
- Showrunners
