If you’ve been a part of the crypto industry for the past few years you may have heard of the name Ross Ulbricht. The infamous founder of the notorious Silk Road network is about to have his story told on the Silver screen next year following an announcement from Lionsgate.

However, if you haven’t heard of Ross or his story, he was arrested by the federal bureau of investigation in 2013 and is going to spend the rest of his life behind bars without any possibility of parole.

According to the announcement, Lionsgate has acquired the rights to the Silk Road movie and is planning to release it as a feature film in theatres on the 19th of February next year.

The man who is going to portray Ulbricht is a 25-year-old American actor known as Nick Robinson (Jurassic World) and Jason Clarke (Terminator Genisys).

The film is actually going to take influence from a rolling stone article “Dead End On Silk Road” by David Kushner that was published years ago in order to tell his story.

On several occasions over the years, Ulbricht’s name has come up numerous times in mainstream media. Just last month, the documentary was shared by CBS on how Ross was taken down as the Silk Road founder. It even featured an interview with his ex-girlfriend.
