Cyprus based hospital now ready to store COVID-19 test results on blockchain thanks to VeChain
  • VeChain revealed that its blockchain-based medical data platform has just gone live and will help store testing results for COVID-19. 
  • Called E-NewHealthLife, the platform was deployed in the Mediterranean hospital in the Republic of Cyprus.

VeChain, a blockchain tracking platform took to Twitter at the end of last week to reveal that its blockchain-based medical data management platform, which was co-developed with digital healthcare solutions, I-Dante, has just gone live and will help store testing results for COVID-19. Called E-NewHealthLife, the platform was deployed in the Mediterranean hospital in the Republic of Cyprus.

As COVID-19 takes over the world at an alarming rate, solutions are being advanced on a daily basis. Citizens in Cyprus who go to the hospital is COVID-19 library to undergo real-time diagnostic and antibodies testing, will have the medical and test records on the blockchain from Now on. Not only will these records be in Cryptid and hashed but they will be uploaded to the VeChainThor blockchain. These results will also be available on the E-HCert application as the company has said that this will reduce the cost of data storage and sharing.

The E-HCert application will show in mutable test results and allow users to have complete control over their data and medical records.
