The household name that is Harry Potter and the author behind it, J. K. Rowling was recently asked a question on bitcoin on Twitter which may seem unusual as J. K. Rowling has never been mentioned really in the crypto space before…
As it comes out though, The well-known author behind one of the best selling series of all time is not a fan of bitcoin but this could be because she doesn’t understand it.
Now, I get it. As a newcomer to blockchain and crypto, trying to understand all of the technology and price movements was overwhelming at first. But after spending some time in the industry and getting to know the ins and outs of the space, it almost comes as second nature to understand what Cryptocurrency is and what blockchain is.
Now, I’m not going to go through the whole Twitter thread as it can get quite extensive but some of the highlights are that J. K. Rowling does not trust bitcoin after many members of the community attempted to explain it to her through the social network.
People are now explaining Bitcoin to me, and honestly, it’s blah blah blah collectibles (My Little Pony?) blah blah blah computers (got one of those) blah blah blah crypto (sounds creepy) blah blah blah understand the risk (I don’t, though.)

It didn’t take long for many people within the crypto space to get involved in the conversation. The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon musk replied to the thread saying that the leading cryptocurrency is more important now than ever due to the government printing trillions of dollars through the ongoing pandemic of coronavirus.
Pretty much, although massive currency issuance by govt central banks is making Bitcoin Internet 👻 money look solid by comparison
