The co-founder of the ETH, Vitalik Buterin has recently taken to Twitter to make digs at the self-proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto, Craig Wright over his blockchain patent portfolio. This ended up resulting in a heated debate on the social platform.
Writing on Twitter, Buterin said that anyone who brags over the blockchain patent does not understand the technology itself. You can see the tweet below:
If you're bragging about how many "blockchain patents" your country/company/organization has, you don't understand blockchains.

Craig has filed more than 800 applications for blockchain patents and has been granted between 50 to 100. The patent portfolio poses a legal threat to many blockchain projects such as lightning or bitcoin cash. Many critics have argued that it goes against the open-source nature of blockchain and can even be seen as a form of trolling.
A close friend of Craig's, Calvin Ayre responded to Buterin’s tweet saying that he doesn’t understand blockchain and claimed that his network with the hub for ICO scams.
actually, you don't understand Blockchains. You can not even copy Craig correctly. You tech has been used for more scams in the ICO shitecoin storm than the world has ever seen. History will not be kind. Patents on the other hand are a real thing.
