The UK & European Arms of Gemini Get New MD to Further the Company

One of the biggest international crypto platforms in the world, Gemini has just recently taken on board a former senior executive from Starling Bank, the United Kingdom-based digital institution.

A former CEO and co-founder at the bank, Julian Sawyer will now be spearheading Gemini Europe to glory and will be the managing director of the UK and Europe.

Experienced 

The news was announced earlier this week on 4th December and according to the reveal by Cameron Winklevoss, Sawyer is set to join the force on the huge United States-based crypto platform. It’s worth saying that Sawyer has a total of 20 years experience at many financial services organisations that are always growing. 

Before he started working at the UK based bank though, Sawyer was the founder of a financial management consultancy called Bluerock Consulting. But in 2012, it was sold off.

On top of this, Sawyer has further experience as he also worked as a management consultant at the Big Four audit firm EY and Irish professional services company Accenture.

Tyler Winklevoss, one of the other co-founders of the platform, stated that the continent is where finances all started. Cameron further went onto state:

“Europe is the birthplace of modern financial markets and the UK has been a global financial capital of innovation for hundreds of years. The concept of thoughtful regulation itself was first developed out of the lessons learned in these markets over centuries. Our ethos — to ask permission, not forgiveness — was a first in the crypto industry and both honors and continues to build on Europe and the UK’s tradition of thoughtful regulation.”
