Fans Control The Storyline Of New NFT Based Comic Book

Comics are an enduring genre of art, going as far back as centuries ago. However, things are about to get a lot more interesting in the comic scene with the introduction of a new comic book universe known as Emergents from InterPop. The name might not be a familiar one at the moment, but it will soon in a matter of time because InterPop is coming with a new approach. By leveraging NFTs, InterPop is creating an entirely novel world of fandom for comics, gaming, and collectibles. It has taken the first step to achieve that with this new universe with pretty impressive creators such as Amanda Connor of  Harley Quinn, Power Girl, Star Fire, etc. and Alex Sinclair of Batman: Hush, Astro City, etc.

When they are finally released on July 17th, the comics will be available to read free of charge, but for those who want to own a copy, they will be available as clean NFTs. The release of the first comic from the universe will be held on this day in Block Party, a virtual comic con where attendees will meet the creators and everyone behind the universe. The Block Party promises to be exciting, and every attendee will get a free NFT copy of THE NINE #0, which is the debut comic from the Emergent Universe. From then on, the comic will be free to read on the unique reading interface model designed specifically for this purpose.

THE NINE is not the only comic from the Emergent Universe. Another series, EMERGENT PRESENTS, is scheduled for debut in August, while THE NINE series will be released regularly starting from September. With all these planned for the next few months, it is surely going to be a rollercoaster for InterPop and an even more exciting time for comic fan lovers. Apart from the two acclaimed creators, there are other A-list names such as Steve Ellis, Steve Buccellato, Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti, Danielle Paige, and lots more.  We can expect that more names will be revealed soon.

InterPop is headed by Brian David-Marshall,  a man with years of experience in the comics, technology, and gaming world. He was a popular part of the Magic the Gathering community. Heading the comics line is another experienced name, Rachel Gluckstern, who was DC editor. InterPop is part of TQ Tezos, the company behind the Tezos blockchain and cryptocurrency, and this is where it derives its blockchain capabilities from.

While the comics will be minted into Non-fungible tokens and made available for purchase, buyers need not worry about the energy consumption that goes into minting the NFTs because these ones are different. Tezos is a proof of stake blockchain which means its energy consumption is far lesser than that of Proof of Work blockchains like Ethereum. In the same manner, it has developed an advanced technology that enables it to mint green NFTs. With this technology, the company is able to use an incredible two million times less energy than what would be used to produce similar NFTs on a proof of work blockchain like Ethereum. Not only does this mean the NFTs are way cleaner, but it also means it is less expensive and affordable.

No matter the opinions on NFTs, it is clear that this technology has come to stay. By adopting and making it cleaner, InterPop gives users and comic fans the chance to be fully involved in the NFTs while also following their passion and interest. It is also a chance for gamers and collectors to get into the comic scene as there is a trading card game set of the Emergents superhero universe.  Comic fandom has never been more exciting, with collectibles, gaming, and comic character sets all available in the long run to give everyone completely different and incredible experiences.

While Emergent Universe might be the start, InterPop has a lot more in the offing and will be the place for users to trade, play, collect, and own all kinds of utility-focused assets. It has started on the right step with clean NFTs, which means no one has to worry about the ecological consequences of the comics they are collecting. From here, it is only going to get better, and the names behind the Emergent Universe already show that this project is going to be an exciting one. Comic fans just need to strap in their belt and get ready for a rollercoaster ride.
