Soon to be ex-president Donald Trump is allegedly getting ready to grant a pardon to Ross Ulbricht, the founder and operator of the Silk Road darknet market.

Ross was imprisoned with two life sentences without parole for non-violent offences back in 2015 following his arrest in 2013.

According to sources from the daily beast, the White House Counsel office has been looking over the documents in relation to Ross and his case. The president has been allegedly made aware of the situation and has “privately expressed sympathy“ for the Silk Road founder.

As a result of this sympathy, Trump is actually going to grant Ross a pardon out of jail.

Ross‘s mother, Lyn has shown support for the alleged decision from Trump as well as his criminal justice reform policies.

She has further said:

“We’re praying and remain hopeful that he will show mercy on Ross, as he has others, and commute his sentence to time served and give my son a second chance at life.”

Just over a month is left until Trump is out of the office and Joe Biden moves back in. This means he doesn’t have a long time to grant the pardon if he is to grant it at all.

The United States presidential election occurred at the start of last month and we didn’t get a solidified win until later in the week. Despite contesting the results for the following month after the election, Joe Biden is the certified winner and will be 100% moving into the White House next month.
