A Reuters report indicated that a “sophisticated“ hacking group was able to gain access to the Treasury Department in the US as well as the national telecommunications and information administration.
In response to the event, numerous players as in the crypto space highlighted the advantages that bitcoin has when it comes to situations like this.
The head of business at the Kraken crypto exchange, Daniel Held set on Twitter that the leading cryptocurrency never gets breached. To that end, Anthony Pompliano added to this saying that the crazy as ever “been” hacked.

Despite the attack, it is not clear as to if any finances have been compromised as a result of the event. Currently, the hack has only potentially stolen emails from government agencies.
