This all comes just days after the multi-government group G7 explained that the project from the social media network needed to have the right regulation measures in place before it releases itself to the world. Concerns from G7 said:
“The G7 continues to maintain that no global stablecoin project should begin operation until it adequately addresses relevant legal, regulatory, and oversight requirements through appropriate design and by adhering to applicable standards.”
Speaking on joining the team at the Association, Jenkins said the following:
“I am excited to join the Libra Networks leadership team at a time when innovation in the financial sector has the potential to empower billions of people worldwide. The Libra project is poised to transform the industry and I am looking forward to being part of this team.”
Managing director of the network, James Emmett also discussed the new team member saying that his expertise in global finance and risk strategy he’s going to be essential for the future of the project. Emmett also went on to add how he looks forward to working with Ian as they move forward into the next phase of the project, operations.
