Gemini, one of the biggest crypto platforms in the industry is getting ready to expand its business operations into the Asia-Pacific region with a new hire also on the way. A former executive of the major American bank Morgan Stanley, Andy Meehan has just joined the exchange as its chief compliance officer (CCO) for the region. The news was revealed in a post published on the 7th of October earlier this week and highlights that Andy will be working alongside regulators to help promote smart regulations that will help push further adoption of the crypto and blockchain industry in the Area.

The new CCO is going to be based in Singapore and will report directly to the new APAC managing director of Gemini, Jeremy Ng.

Is in his new position, and he will be working on shaping strategy, product and operations of the overall exchange in the region. It will be exciting to see how well he fits in with the company in his new role. The reason that Gemini has focused on the Southeast Asian region comes after a lot of developments in the regulation space in Singapore. Cameron Winklevoss, one half of the Winklevoss twins, Has been well known to welcome the progress in crypto regulations with open arms. As Gemini looks to expand its services even more on a global scale to the United Kingdom on the Asia-Pacific region, things are looking up for the exchange.
