The cryptocurrency trading platform Poloniex has told all its Twitter followers to buy into Justin Sun’s crypto child, TRON… or at least they did for nearly half an hour, as the tweet was deleted after being up for 28 minutes.
The slow but definite takeover of Poloniex by Sun and his team is 100 per cent underway as the platform begins to just straight up promote TRX on Twitter.
“Let’s buy #TRON” was the tweet that after 28 minutes was taken down but soon uncovered by the crypto Twitter bot @CryptoDeleted later in the day.

“Many are interpreting the tweet as Poloniex hitting rock bottom. The exchange went from being purchased by Goldman Sachs-backed Circle in 2018 to shilling one of the most controversial cryptocurrencies in the entire industry. As some cryptocurrency commentators have pointed out, it is a fall from grace from Poloniex’s former height in 2017.”
