What is NeoWorld? The Latest Project To Hit TRON

The blockchain based massively multiplayer online game, NeoWorld is teaming up with the TRON Foundation which was recently announced. With this announcement comes the addition of TRON’s very own building within a virtual world but questions as to what the TRX, TRON’s currency alongside the game’s own token, NeoWorld Cash, also known as NASH.

What is NeoWorld?

According to the NeoWorld website:

“NeoWorld is a multiplayer online virtual world that runs on blockchain. Here in the 3D virtual environment, players explore new frontiers, create skylines, pursue careers and build wealth, legends and legacies from scratch, just like in the real world.”

On the projects white paper it says that "NASH is an Ethereum token based on ERC223 standards and compatible with ERC20 standards." Prices within the game also seem to be subject to change according to the demand in the market. This was something that team being NeoWorld have said that they haven’t had any influence or control over based on the design of the mechanism of the game on the blockchain.

As discussed by ETH News, the main players will earn NASH by taking part in projects which require collaborative work such as helping build up a theatre where actors can perform or other services within a building that has already completed. Players can also buy NASH from crypto exchanges or from other players. Then you will be able to use NASH to buy more land or improve the land that the players are the owner of. Another approach is being able to "lock up a portion of their NASH for a period of time to increase the attributes of their land, facilities and avatars."

It hasn’t been announced if players will be able to TRX as an actual currency in the MMO but the reveal might happen the future. Saying that, the white paper does say NASH is the only currency in NeoWorld so currently players can perform tasks within the TRON building, however, they will only be rewarded with NASH upon completion.

The news of the TRON partnership is joint up with the reveal of the game’s first expansion of land which is called Exclusive Island. This follows on from the latest update for the game which is detailed in the developer’s blog and includes avatar fatigue and pleasure levels which impact what jobs can be done and which ones can’t.
