Goose Finance (EGG) represents a new wave in yield farming, designed to ensure continuous price growth alongside a sustainable and lucrative farming yield, supported by a timelock contract. It made its debut in February 2021.

The core aim of Goose Finance is to address the problem of drastic market swings in decentralized finance (DeFi), which often occur when users move large amounts of capital in and out. Their innovative burning system works like this: every time users stake in the farms, a 4% burn fee is applied. From this, 3% goes towards purchasing the Golden Egg token for the lottery pool, while the remaining 1% supports the platform's ongoing development.

To combat the risk of rug pulls, Goose Finance has eliminated the migrator code, which was originally derived from PancakeSwap, and implemented a timelock at the time of launch.

As of March 2021, the creators behind Goose Finance have chosen to remain anonymous.

Goose Finance (EGG) functions as a layered farming incubator, introducing new farms every two weeks. This perpetual entry system helps address the challenge of inflation. Every 14 days, a new token, dubbed Layer "X" Goose, comes into play, and the process unfolds in two distinct methods.

One way involves an initial DEX offering (IDO), which occurs one to three days before layer farming begins, with the IDO conversion rate set at 1:3. All pledged layer 0 eggs are then destroyed. The starting liquidity price for these layers is approximately twice the price of the IDO.

Alternatively, users can pledge layer 0 eggs into a nest where they cannot be unstaked, continuously producing Layer "X" Goose.

Additionally, there's the omega lottery burning mechanism. Each farm imposes a 4% burning fee per stake, with 3% dedicated to acquiring Golden Egg for the lottery pool. Of the lottery pool, 20%—referred to as the burning fee—and the lottery ticket costs are burned.

The EGG token, a BEP-20 token, operates on the Binance Smart Chain.

As of March 2021, there are 1,089,885 EGG tokens in circulation, and no maximum supply has been specified.

Goose Finance strives to offer a safer environment for yield farming. They have eliminated the migrator vulnerability found in PancakeSwap and SushiSwap (SUSHI).

The code prevents the team from redirecting assets, ensuring that funds remain secure. A timelock was also included in the contract from the start.
