Who Founded ApeCoin?
Driven by the inspiration from Yuga Labs’ Bored Ape Yacht Club, ApeCoin emerged as a decentralized project designed to operate within the expanding APE Ecosystem, backed by the APE Foundation. A significant portion, 62%, of all ApeCoin, was allocated to the Ecosystem Fund, intended to support initiatives driven by the community and decided upon by DAO members.
Additionally, ApeCoin grants access to special areas of the Ecosystem, such as exclusive games and services. For developers outside the organization, ApeCoin offers a way to engage with the ecosystem by integrating it into various services, games, and projects.
Yuga Labs, creators of the Bored Ape Yacht Club, gifted the APE Foundation a unique NFT. They have transferred all rights and privileges of this NFT and its associated artwork to the APE Foundation.
