Wyoming Adds Chainlink Proof of Reserve for State-Backed FRNT Stablecoin
Wyoming’s Stable Token Commission said on September 2, 2026, that it had adopted Chainlink Proof of Reserve for FRNT, publishing verified reserve and token-supply data onchain in near real time. Chainlink Secure Mint is also part of the arrangement, with a design that requires verified reserves to equal or exceed FRNT’s outstanding supply before new tokens can be issued.
FRNT already has daily reserve attestations published through The Network Firm’s LedgerLens platform.
The new arrangement adds an onchain verification layer to Wyoming’s existing disclosure and examination process rather than replacing it.
Chainlink Proof of Reserve goes live for FRNT
In its September 2 announcement, the Wyoming Stable Token Commission said it had adopted Chainlink Proof of Reserve for FRNT, making verified reserve and token-supply data available onchain in near real time. The deployment integrates reserve and supply examination data with Chainlink’s verification infrastructure, according to the commission’s announcement.
Proof of Reserve provides a public, machine-readable reference point for the assets reported to back FRNT and the token supply those assets are intended to cover. In the commission’s model, however, onchain publication supplements rather than replaces the underlying external examination and independent-review process.
The integration therefore extends access to reserve and supply information while connecting verified data to an issuance safeguard.
Daily attestations remain the underlying examination process
Wyoming had already been publishing daily FRNT reserve attestations through LedgerLens, The Network Firm’s platform. According to a May commission disclosure, those attestations cover FRNT in circulation and its backing assets, including cash, U.S. Treasuries and repurchase agreements.
The new setup combines reserve and supply examinations performed by The Network Firm under AICPA standards with Chainlink’s onchain verification tools. It therefore does not shift the examination function onto Chainlink; Chainlink is being used to bring the verified information onchain and to support the new minting condition.
Independent reporting likewise said the adoption adds near-real-time reserve verification without displacing the state’s daily attestations or independent examinations. Cointelegraph reported that FRNT is backed by U.S. dollars and short-term U.S. Treasuries, characterising the Chainlink deployment as an additional transparency mechanism rather than a replacement for the established reporting process.
The commission’s previously identified backing categories include repurchase agreements as well. The different descriptions reflect the existing daily-attestation disclosure and the independent report’s summary of FRNT’s dollar and short-term Treasury backing; neither announcement changes the role of the daily LedgerLens publications in the broader framework.
Secure Mint links FRNT issuance to verified backing
The Wyoming Stable Token Commission said Chainlink Secure Mint is designed to require verified reserves to equal or exceed total FRNT supply before additional tokens are minted.
The deployment adds an onchain, near-real-time view of verified reserves and supply alongside the existing daily LedgerLens attestations. The commission’s disclosure approach combines those public reserve-and-supply data with independent examinations conducted under AICPA standards.
