The collaboration will see OpenLedger leverage io.net’s GPU resources.
Decentralized distributed GPU resource platform io.net announced its partnership with OpenLedger, the data blockchain for AI, this week. The strategic cooperation will enable OpenLedger to access the DePIN services of io.net’s global GPU compute resources to refine and train its AI models.
Known as the Internet of GPUs, io.net provides users with a powerful, distributed network of global GPU resources. OpenLedger becomes the latest AI platform to join the network, enabling it to gain the compute resources it requires to accelerate the development of its AI models. Developed using OpenLedger's datasets, this will empower developers to build smarter, more efficient AI-based DApps.
On the partnership, Tausif Ahmad, the Vice President of Business Development at io.net stated:
“We’re excited to be partnering with OpenLedger whose data blockchain for AI provides Web3 builders with decentralized datasets they can trust. With io.net providing the GPU compute, OpenLedger now has an infra provider it can rely on to scale its AI models built on top of them and to unlock new use cases that will reinforce its status as an innovative provider of decentralized AI models.”
Adding to GPU resources, access to io.net’s GPU infrastructure will also support inference and hosting of the AI models, ensuring they are optimized for performance and scalability. This is expected to enhance OpenLedger’s reputation as a leading provider of reliable datasets that are fueling a wave of innovation at the intersection of blockchain and AI.
The partnership will also enable OpenLedger users to access high-quality data securely and efficiently. With its vision to scale AI data creation with over one billion personas and driving innovation and performance, io.net’s GPU resources will come in handy, the team statement reads.
“Our collaboration with io.net unlocks the full potential of our high-quality datanets, using the contributed data to create specialized AI models. By leveraging io.net’s GPU infrastructure, our protocol users will be able to fine-tune AI models more efficiently, ensuring optimal performance and scalability,” a team member from OpenLedger said on the importance of the partnership.
Notwithstanding, the partnership will also bring OpenLedger closer to realising its vision of “creating a decentralized, transparent AI ecosystem that enables collaboration through data sharing and the development of trustworthy, explainable models.”
A critical reason why OpenLedger selected io.net as its GPU resources provider is the cost-effective and scalable compute solutions the latter offers. Through the partnership, OpenLedger will be able to expand its services without being constrained by the high costs and limitations of centralized cloud providers. The platform can also scale up its operations, process larger datasets, and develop AI models with unprecedented efficiency, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in decentralized AI innovation.
io.net GPU resources will also enable OpenLedger to unlock new use cases for AI models across diverse applications built using its high-quality datasets and contributed data. Additionally, the partnership will also help OpenLedger further bolster its track record as a pioneer in creating a decentralized ecosystem for trustworthy, accessible AI.
Lastly, the partnership also bonds well with OpenLedger’s mission to provide an open, collaborative data environment while driving the adoption of blockchain-powered AI solutions.
