Gomble Games — the web3 game developer behind EggDrop — announced its Launchpool #2 social play-to-earn (P2E) gaming platform.
According to an Oct. 15 announcement, Gomble Games’ Launchpool #2 integrates EggDrop with its over 650,000 monthly active users with the Gomble Squad social gaming platform. The fusion of the two systems is expected to improve team-based collaboration.
The platform follows the success of the first Launchpool and introduces a dual-mechanism that combines the EggDrop game with the Gomble Squad social gaming portal to allow players to earn rewards for both their own gaming performance and that of their Squad. Gomble Games’ goal is to enhance player engagement by allowing for team strategies taking advantage of individual player skill sets. Chris Chang, chief business officer at Gomble Games, said:
“EggDrop perfectly encapsulates Gomble Games’s commitment to fun, easy-to-play games that still offer meaningful rewards for participants. [...] By connecting this engaging game with social elements, we are creating a new level of interaction within Web3 gaming.”
EggDrop is playing on the hyper-casual Telegram-based gaming trend, but rather than following the frequently-seen tap-tap structure it features player-versus-player elements and rewards for performance. Players can now also form teams called Squads that also carry across multiple Gomble’s games. Chris highlighted:
“GOMBLE SQUAD transforms the gaming experience into a social and strategic endeavor, making it easy for players to team up and succeed across our game portfolio. [...] Through Launchpool #2, players can now turn to their squads across our gaming ecosystem to enhance gameplay and empower gaming in true teams.”
EggDrop was launched in mid-July as a Telegram-based Web3 game that rewards successful players with digital assets. The game requires players to collect Egg Points to unlock new Birdies and complete Bingos, which are necessary to progress.
EggDrop was also added to OKX Wallet’s giveaway platform in mid-August. As part of the initiative, the wallet distriButed 100 WORM tokens and $50 worth of in-game assets before the end of the month.
