Global crypto exchange Bybit is now the new global main sponsor of all the Argentinian national football teams, including the men’s international football team, led by captain Lionel Messi.

From Most Transparent To Global Main Sponsor

The crypto exchange has recently signed a two-year agreement that will create brand visibility opportunities in all Argentine Football Associations (AFA) assets. Additionally, the Bybit logo will also be incorporated in the training apparel of all the national football teams. This means that Lionel Messi and his teammates from La Albiceleste will be donning training gear that will carry the Bybit logo. The crypto exchange has targeted the Latin American market in its global growth strategy. The popularity of football and these players in the continent is expected to raise Bybit’s brand awareness. The company has recently received the “most transparent exchange” award at the Crypto Expo Dubai (CED) Awards 2021 event.

Speaking on the partnership, Ben Zhou, CEO of Bybit, stated,

"We are excited to support the Argentina national football team through this long-term partnership with the Argentine Football Association. La Albiceleste not only has the complementary colors for Bybit's black and yellow, but also embodies relentless passion and limitless creativity — qualities we as a crypto company would like to champion and celebrate."

AFA Officials Welcoming Bybit Branding

Discussing the matter, the President of the AFA, Claudio Tapia, has acknowledged the global importance and significance of the branding opportunity for both Bybit and the association. He further states,

"We are very happy to announce this important commercial agreement...We know that 2022 will be a very important year due to the skills we have and without a doubt, this will give the national team enormous visibility. We welcome Bybit to the Argentine Football Association and appreciate the trust they place in our projects. We will work together to achieve the highest return from this important sponsorship agreement."

Furthermore, the Commercial and Marketing Manager of AFA, Leandro Petersen has also pointed out that apparel branding is a part of the association’s global strategy to expand to the territories and markets that AFA is not present in. AFA’s commercial and brand growth worldwide has been in part contributed by opening strategic markets in unexplored territories, generating various business units to increase revenue channels, and launching new digital products for fans from across the world.

Petersen states,

“We have added many business partners in this way — leading brands that today form part of the AFA sponsorship platform. Bybit is a global brand that bets on technology and seeks to continue growing throughout the world, in the same way that we are doing in our association. It will undoubtedly be a sponsorship that will enhance both brands and generate new growth opportunities globally."
