DigitalBits founder’s latest banking venture plans to add app support for key digital assets
i2c Inc., a leading provider of digital payment and banking technology, has announced its partnership with the digital banking platform Zytara. i2c has established a strong footprint within the blockchain industry by collaborating with Crypto.com, NetCents, Wirex, and Apto Payments, the technology provider behind the Coinbase Visa Card.
This announcement comes in the wake of Zytara’s recent launch of ZUSD, a stablecoin issued in partnership with Prime Trust. ZUSD was launched on Ethereum last year, and soon plans to expand to the DigitalBits blockchain following last week’s unveiling of a DigitalBits mainnet upgrade. Zytara is the brainchild of Al Burgio, who is also the founder of the DigitalBits blockchain network.
Zytara’s digital banking platform will offer its customers an array of products and services including a spending account, virtual and physical debit cards and access to investing tools. The Zytara app will also add support for key digital assets, including ZUSD. Redeemable on a 1:1 basis and designed for the future of finance, esports and gaming, ZUSD enables users to send and receive payments at the speed of the internet, from anywhere in the world. The introduction of ZUSD further showcases Zytara’s commitment to innovation.
"Zytara combines financial services and features in a way that gamers and esports enthusiasts can embrace as their own," said Al Burgio, Founder and CEO at Zytara. "Our mission is to give them a unique set of tools that deliver financial support, inclusion and literacy. Our partnership with i2c will build on our foundations and help us achieve this on a global scale.”
"We’re proud to partner with Zytara on this ground-breaking and globally ambitious initiative," said i2c’s CEO Amir Wain. “Their vision of creating specific financial products tailored to this untapped and fast-growing demographic is a great example of the kind of innovation fintech’s are bringing to life in 2021.”
Leveraging the same technology used to power Coinbase and Crypto.com sets the stage for Zytara to further expand its banking platform into the cryptocurrency space. Combined with the DigitalBits blockchain, which provides fast transactions and high throughput, the integration allows the Zytara platform to scale to meet the payment network needs of the massive audience represented by Millennials, Gen Z gamers and esports enthusiasts.
