Litecoin Supported On Popular Visa App

It seems that cryptocurrency is getting further towards that almighty mainstream adoption every day and with recent support from Litecoin, it’s no wonder many experts believe it is just around the corner. Mobile app Spend now lets crypto users buy, sell and pay with Litecoin at more than 40 million locations.

The way this platform works is by allowing mobile users to access a multi-currency digital wallet on their smartphone by linking to a bank account. In addition to this, users can store and spend their Litecoin by using Spend Visa Card which will instantly convert crypto into fiat.

By tapping into the Visa network of merchants, the fintech company exposes millions of locations worldwide to crypto users.

According to the team at Spend, the app users to connect to an open financial system.

They say:

“We are a firm believer in the fourth industrial revolution and the digitization of currencies. There are tremendous benefits for users worldwide to have control of their finances and to create an alternative financial solution for those who don’t have access to banking, which currently totals two billion people worldwide.”

In addition to this, the Spend app will allow users to buy or sell more than 16 cryptocurrencies directly from a bank account and transfer funds to more than 180 countries worldwide.

Through the Spend Wallet, all cryptocurrencies will be converted into Canadian dollars, US dollars or euros. This will include Bitcoin and XRP. The local fiat is loaded onto the Spend Visa Card purchases and ATM withdrawals.

In terms of price, Litecoin is currently the fifth largest cryptocurrency in the space according to CoinMarketCap. The digital asset has a price of $42.89 following a 1.05 percent decrease at the current time of writing.
