Gemini & British Telecom Announce New Partnership

World leading cryptocurrency exchange and platform developed by the Winklevoss twins, Gemini, has recently announced a strategic partnership with British Telecom and the BT Radianz Cloud. BT are the UK’s largest telecoms provider and currently work across a global network of 180 countries, providing institutional telecom and cloud services to numerous industries and organisations through Radianz.

The news broke earlier this week through a press release published by BT that states how Gemini, a leading cryptocurrency exchange and custodian will be making use of the security and global span of the BT Radianz Cloud. The announcement states:

“BT today announced that leading cryptocurrency exchange and custodian Gemini Trust LLC (Gemini), a New York-based trust company, has joined the BT Radianz Cloud. The move provides Gemini access to one of the world’s largest, secure networked financial cloud communities — which consists of thousands of brokers, institutions, exchanges and clearing and settlement houses — while providing community members access to the growing cryptocurrency market.”

The Managing Director of BT Radianz, Michael Woodman has added:

"Global financial institutions have very specific requirements about the performance, resilience and security of the infrastructure over which they trade. They expect stringent service levels and will only do business under trusted commercial frameworks that help them to meet their own contractual and compliance requirements. This can make it difficult for small or new service providers to grow. By joining the Radianz Cloud, Gemini achieves the reach and scale demanded by global institutions and benefits from an established framework for doing business with them.”

This move see’s Gemini gain access to a very large pool of institutional customers that may well have an interest in cryptocurrency trading and investment. Indeed, this is a very exciting move towards the institutional adoption of cryptocurrency and see’s Gemini also gain access to a globally recognised and trusted brand within BT.

Nick Vigier, the Chief Information Officer at Gemini is equally optimistic about this partnership:
