What’s Happening With Bitcoin Today?

Over the past three months or so Bitcoin has crashed even further from its all-time high of $20,000 in December 2017 and even went below the $3,500 at one point during November 2018. Now, the leading cryptocurrency seems to be holding steady with its price and it seems that most of the other digital currencies are also performing well too as the majority of them are in the green at the time of writing.

Today, we’re going to take a look at the performances of some of the top ten cryptocurrencies currently in the space.

Bitcoin

If we take a look at CoinMarketCap today then we can see that Bitcoin has been in the green over the past day as it sees a 4.35 percent increase leaving it priced at $4,028 at the current time of writing. The market cap for the leading cryptocurrency is $70,363,917,772.

Ethereum

Next, we’re going to look at Ethereum which is now the second biggest cryptocurrency in the space. The token is now worth $153 after it has suffered a 0.50 percent decrease over the past 24 hours. Ethereum’s market cap is $15,949,680,432 at the time of writing.

XRP

The now third biggest cryptocurrency, XRP is priced at $0.36 at the current time of writing after it has experienced a 1.86 percent over the past day. Ripple’s native token market cap is now $14,896,634,259.

Bitcoin Cash

Currently in the green, Bitcoin Cash is the fourth biggest cryptocurrency with a market cap of $2,859,576,457 with each coin being worth $162.91 after a 1.17 percent increase over the past 24 hours.

EOS

The fifth largest cryptocurrency, EOS is worth $2.77 and a market cap of $2,511,890,308 after it being in the green over the past day with a 1.62 percent increase.

Stellar

One of the top performers of the day is Stellar with just over a six percent increase over the past 24 hours which has given it a market cap of $2,325,369,67 and a price of $0.121.

Litecoin

Coming in a number seven is Litecoin which is currently worth $38.02 at the time of writing. The coin has experienced a 0.29 percent increase leaving its market cap to be at $2,278,124,504.
