New Partnership For VeChain Could Push Growth Further

The distributed ledger technology project, VeChain Thor is looking to buckle down on providing users with a robust identity management solution and more which has sparked a strategic partnership deal with NTT Docomo. NTT Docomo is the biggest mobile network in Japan with an astounding user base with over 70 million subscribers and with this partnership, the integration of VeChain into its 5G network - aimed to go live by 2020 - will be enabled according to reports coming out earlier this week.

More progress being made

One part of the strategy to become a significant player in the always moving blockchain technology ecosystem, VeChain has teamed up with NTT Docomo. According to sources close to the development, this is a very significant move since the deal will enable the mobile network to implement VeChain blockchain solutions into its scheduled 5G project for 2020. There has been a number of companies in the region including Sony, MUFG Bank and more who have already joined the NTT Docomo project.

The team at VeChain has shown their excitement over the new alliance and the optimistic view that identifying with NTT Docomo would ensure their presence would be a lot stronger a country which is very adopting of cryptocurrency, Japan. This would, in turn, improve the reputation and image of VeChain simultaneously.

Making ground

There have been so many blockchain and cryptocurrency projects which have long failed with many others struggling to make a decent impact on the crypto space, VeChain has remained in a stable and steady manner.

VeChain was originally founded in 2015 by an alumnus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Sunny Lu who has helped grow VeChain ever since from strength to strength. There have been partnerships formed with a lot of high profile companies all around the world with Renault, Hyperledger, PWC, Givenchy are just some of them.

At first, VeChain was built on the Ethereum smart contract blockchain but in August 2018 the Mainnet was launched which gave it’s interesting. In December the same year, reports came out saying that the Mainnet for VeChain had successfully gone pass the one million transactions mark.

Currently though, the VeChain network is the home for a big number of blockchain projects including a cryptocurrency-powered gaming platform called DECENT.bet, BitOcean, KryptoMobile and many more.
