What Is the Total Number of NMT in Circulation?
The overall amount of NMT available is 10 billion tokens. These tokens are currently secured in a smart contract and will be incrementally released in line with the distribution strategy detailed below.
* 40% of the entire supply, amounting to 4 billion NMT, is designated as rewards for those who contribute computational power to the network for tasks like training and inference. This incentive is termed the Volunteer Computing Network Connection Reward.
* 30% of the total tokens are set aside to reward users engaged in staking. Participants have the option to stake against any Mind Node but are particularly encouraged to stake against the top 21, known as Master Nodes.
* 20% of the supply, equating to 2 billion NMT, is allocated for the NetMind DAO community.
* 10% of the tokens, or 1 billion NMT, is allocated to the NetMind technical team, with a release schedule of 0.1% annually over a span of 100 years.
