Fluence

Fluence stands out as the pioneering decentralized "Cloudless" computing platform, presenting an open alternative to the dominant internet cloud giants. It's significantly more affordable, offering up to an 80% cost reduction compared to traditional cloud services, while being both robust and trustworthy. The platform aggregates surplus computing power from top-notch data centers worldwide into a global, always-active DePIN network, suitable for a multitude of applications. With its open nature, Fluence enables users to switch providers effortlessly, keeping prices competitive and ensuring high service quality.

Established in 2017, Fluence launched its mainnet in 2024 and operates under the governance of a DAO structured as a Swiss Association.

The FLT token is the platform’s inherent utility and governance token, used for:
* Staking by compute providers for every additional CPU to ensure network dependability
* Compensating compute providers
* Participating in DAO governance voting, including decisions on protocol enhancements and treasury management

The FLT token made its debut in February 2024, with an initial creation of 1 billion tokens. During the first month, a cap of 5% is placed on the liquidity bootstrap pool. An extra 5%, designated as the developer reward pool, will be accessible beginning April 27th, two months post-claim date. Compute providers will earn tokens by contributing to the network's capacity, necessitating them to stake FLT tokens. Starting February 2025, around 45% of the tokens held by investors and team members will become gradually available each day until February 2026.

The minds behind Fluence are Evgeny Ponomarev, Dmitry Kurinskiy, and Tom Trowbridge. Both Evgeny and Dmitry bring over 15 years of rich experience in blockchain and software engineering, having established themselves as accomplished developers and entrepreneurs. Tom Trowbridge played a foundational role at Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR) and served as its president since its inception.
