Aurory is a cutting-edge studio focused on developing a universe filled with interoperable web3 games. This universe has given birth to two original intellectual properties that are significantly influencing the future gaming experience for Aurory players.
The first of these IPs is Aurorians, a set of 10,000 anime-inspired NFT characters. These serve a dual purpose as profile pictures and as playable avatars that come with a variety of in-game advantages.
The second IP involves Nefties, mystical creatures crafted as non-fungible tokens with unique stats that impact their gameplay abilities. Players can hatch, trade, collect, and engage these companions in battles as they progress on their journeys.
Aurory currently offers players two games, both in their alpha stages, that are continuously developed through a live-ops format:
"Seekers of Tokane" is a Japanese RPG where players undertake a risky adventure through the world of Tokane, gathering and battling formidable Nefties in exciting turn-based combat.
"Aurory Tactics" is a PvP game that challenges players to strategically employ their Nefties' abilities in battles against competitors, aiming to climb the leaderboard for rewards and fame.
The project boasts a highly experienced team in blockchain gaming, drawing talent from renowned studios like Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, Rovio, and Warner Bros.
Who Founded Aurory?
Aurory was co-founded in 2021 by Yann Penno, who serves as the Creative Art Director, and Sym (Paul), who leads Business and Operations. Penno brings 14 years of experience in the gaming industry, having worked as a 2D/3D animator and art/creative director for indie games. His vibrant visual style and charming characters greatly influence Aurory's design, reminiscent of Dragonball-Z. Sym has been investing in cryptocurrencies full-time since 2019.
What Sets Aurory Apart?
Playing Aurory games does not require any purchases or investments, removing a typical barrier to entry and facilitating broader adoption.
With a groundbreaking technology called SyncSpace, developed in-house, players can access Aurory games without the need for a digital wallet. Instead, they can quickly start playing and earning rewards by connecting their Twitter, Discord, Facebook, or Google accounts. This seamless onboarding experience also supports cross-chain interoperability of Aurory assets.
The Aurory team consists of nearly 70 members from diverse backgrounds in blockchain and gaming, collectively claiming over 400 years of experience working on AAA game projects.
What is $AURY?
$AURY is the core utility token within the Aurory ecosystem, driving all activities. It has a fixed supply of 100 million tokens and can be earned by playing Aurory games. Initially, 9.5% of the total $AURY supply was in circulation — 7% from a public sale (IDO) and 2.5% provided as liquidity on exchanges.
The token has several use cases:
* Trading assets in the Aurory Marketplace.
* Paying fees to hatch Nefties from eggs.
* Serving as the currency for buying Aurory land.
* Sending Aurorians on Expeditions.
* In the future, $AURY holders will participate in shaping game-development decisions.
Where Can You Trade AURY?
On the Solana network, $AURY can be traded on Kucoin, Huobi, and Orca. If using Arbitrum, you can trade $AURY on Camelot.
Which Blockchain Powers Aurory?
Aurory operates on the Solana and Arbitrum blockchains. Solana was chosen as the "homebase" because of its high transaction speed, low fees, and smaller environmental impact compared to other blockchains.
Solana is a layer-one blockchain that uses a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism alongside partial Byzantine fault tolerance. Its coordinated optimizations and multi-threaded transaction processing enable remarkable performance and set it apart from slower networks.
In July 2023, the team integrated with Arbitrum, an Ethereum layer 2 blockchain. Arbitrum's dynamic EVM gaming ecosystem, along with its speed and low gas fees, made it an attractive choice.
