Expert Hints at Solana ETFs After Spot Ethereum ETF News, Could SOL Meme Coins Pump Again?

Table of Contents

The improving odds of spot Ethereum ETF approval is a mixed-bag scenario for Solana maximalists.

On the one hand, Ethereum ETFs could sidetrack the Solana bull rally, allowing ETH to take the center stage in the altcoin space. On the other hand, experts believe that the SEC’s greenlight could pave the way for spot Solana ETFs in the near future.

The latter scenario could send the SOL price skyrocketing, with Solana meme coins such as Sealana emerging as the foremost beneficiaries.

Are Spot Solana ETFs A Possibility?

Popular crypto analyst Ted (@tedtalksmacro) - who has over 125k followers on X - has hinted at the possibility of spot Solana ETF filings in the near future.

Filings don't necessarily mean approval, at least not unless BlackRock is involved. However, the idea of spot Solana ETFs may not be as far-fetched as it seems.

Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood had previously praised Solana on CNBC, lauding its scalability and cost-effectiveness in comparison to Ethereum. Notably, Ark Invest is a major player in the Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETF sector.

Unfortunately for SOL maximalists, Wood had also cast doubts on the idea of spot Solana ETFs, claiming that the SEC views Sol as a security.

However, this argument may no longer be valid if the SEC does indeed approve spot Ether ETFs. Consensys, the parent company of MetaMask, recently filed a lawsuit against the SEC, claiming that the Commission is unlawfully labeling ETH as a security.

Popular crypto investor Anthony Pompliano stated as much in his recent X post, claiming that spot Ethereum ETF approval would be the last dam to be broken.

Solana Price Prediction - Could SOL Hit a New All-Time High In May?

Ethereum’s rally this week has certainly worried a few Solana bull investors. ETH essentially added Solana’s entire valuation to its market cap in a span of a few hours.

Analyst Benjamin Cowen has also highlighted that the SOL/ETH trading pair could see a bearish reversal in the coming weeks, especially if the spot Ether ETFs are approved.

However, other crypto analysts are not worried. Popular trader Jelle (@CryptoJelleNL) believes that SOL is one push away from reaching a new all-time high. He projects Solana to reach $600 this bull cycle.

Similarly, popular investor Mando (@rektmando) reveals that the Ethereum ETF speculation has not decreased his appetite for Sol or Solana meme coins.

Could Sealana Be The Next 100x Meme Coin?

Whether or not Solana ETFs become a reality, Solana meme coins are expected to remain in high demand. Considering the low trading fees on Solana, they may even continue to outshine their Ethereum counterparts.

Experts have identified a new Solana token - Sealana - as potentially the next 100x meme coin.

The chubby seal - which is a light-hearted satire on crypto degens - appears to have tickled the fancies of meme coin enthusiasts. After all, crypto whales are not shy about investing in meme coins that can make them laugh.

This new meme coin is following in the footsteps of Slothana, another Solana gem that has already delivered over 800% growth since its IEO. It is therefore no surprise that $SEAL has already raised over $2.2 million in its ongoing presale.

After all, investors who have missed out on Sealana are looking to not make the same mistake again.

This FOMO is further exacerbated by the fact that the Sealana ICO does not have any fixed hard cap. The presale could end with a very short notice, leaving many of the investors in the lurch.

Interested buyers can simply head to the website and use the over-the-counter widget to buy the meme coin. Alternatively, they can send SOLl tokens to the project wallet and receive $SEAL tokens as an airdrop.
