Ripple payment solutions have enabled banks and payment providers to process cross-border transfers at a low cost and in a timely manner. The company began processing payments in several different corridors across the world such as the Philippines, Australia and Mexico. Ripple’s partner platform in Mexico, Bitso added Argentina to its list of countries and revealed the launch of a gateway between Mexico and Argentina.

In a tweet, the platform said:

“In Bitso we like to build bridges. Today we build a digital bridge between Mexico and Argentina. Like our users in Mexico, we want Argentines to enjoy simple, global and transparent financial services. Welcome! 🇦🇷🥟#bitsoargentina”

The corridor between the two nations seems to be operational as the website for the platform listed the Argentine peso against bitcoin recently.

Looking elsewhere, other corridors on the platform were reporting on new all-time highs. According to data revealed by Liquidity Index Bot, Ripple’s ODL passage to Australia has been seeing some decent surges for the past couple of days with this momentum pushing its liquidity to an all-time high of $5 million.

Another data provider for ODL transactions, Utility Scan has recorded the decline in the US dollar volume active on the platform. At the back end of last week on 6th February, the volume for the US dollar was just over $9.30 million, however, as per AMB Crypto, it currently stands at $1.58 million.

It will be interesting to see how this situation plays out. For more news on this and other crypto updates, keep it with CryptoDaily!
