The crypto space is always evolving. You may take a few days (or even weeks) away from cryptocurrency just to focus on other aspects of your life but in that time, the crypto markets can change MASSIVELY.
As we settle into this new decade and say goodbye to the 2010s, let’s look at two of the most anticipated events of this year.
Facebook’s Calibra
Facebook’s upcoming cryptocurrency/stablecoin is one of those things that you’re either really excited for or really nervous for… there doesn’t seem to be an in-between.
Following the heaps and heaps of controversy from the United States and regulators, Libra is set to launch by June this year. Whenever it sees launch doesn’t matter though because lawmakers are gonna have their eagle eye focused on Libra like a hawk when it sees release.
BTC Halving
Bitcoin, everyone’s favourite number one cryptocurrency is set to go through a halving in May 2020. As per CoinDesk, “this means miners who contribute computing power to the security of the network will receive half the number of bitcoins for each block of data they successfully record to bitcoin's blockchain. To what extent is bitcoin's price driven by supply-side economics? Are there predictable patterns of investment (and disillusionment) around the event itself? We hope to find out.”
These are just two of the events we’re excited for but there’s plenty more things to get buzzing for as a crypto fan. The 2020 US elections are sure to be a blast, the SEC and ETF’s and so on!
