The CEO of Binance, Changpeng Zhao has just vowed to sue The Block over fake reporting. At the end of last week, Zhao said that the platform would be taking legal action over a fake news article that claimed the platform’s Shanghai office was gaining attention from local authorities.
In a tweet, the CEO said:
Instead of apologizing to the community for the fake headline news of the non-existent "police raid", which damaged our reputation, and $btc price, the Block now tries to argue if there was an office, if CZ had a meeting... who cares?

Own up & apologize for your mistake. https://t.co/PWjQ7FzEc6
He later went onto state, “we will be suing them.”
This all came from an article posted on Friday which was in part of several reports that were in regards to the many strict rulings in China of crypto platforms. The Block’s article had the following as its headline, “Binance's Shanghai office shut down following visit by authorities, sources say.”
Some crypto commentators argued CZ’s statement with one saying:
Suing for a bad article? CZ, you’ve lost your mind mate.
