Earlier this week, the co-founder of QUOINE, Mike Kayamori appeared on-stage panel at BlockShow Asia 2019. Kayamori affirmed that he has always been in favour of crypto regulation but has started to get cold feet on the technology saying, "Crypto is evolving, and the government can't try to regulate things it still doesn't understand.”

The part founder of the cryptocurrency fintech firm that designed the Liquid platform, said that he’s “always been a pro-regulation person,” but there is a big reason for being careful with it. “Politicians have their own agenda," he said. "I am still in favour of crypto regulation, but [it] needs to be done very carefully."

The crypto content creator Lark Davis said on the same panel, "When some countries like Nepal, Algeria, and Saudi Arabia banned crypto a while ago, I thought it was so bad for a technology pretending to be global. But now there are some very good initiatives from governments in places such as France, Switzerland, Japan."

Regulation on crypto has been a big discussion for a while and specifically at BlockShow Asia 2019. Nearly every speaker at the show was providing their own take on the matter. One thing everyone knows is that regulation has the powerful capacity to affect the whole space and potentially, the world.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. For more news on this and other crypto updates, keep it with CryptoDaily!
