Apple Fuel BTC Adoption Hype With New Set Of Symbols

Sometimes, it’s the little things that make it all worth doing.

It seems that Bitcoin has been acknowledged by one of the biggest companies in the world, Apple.

But they haven’t acknowledged it in just a verbal way. They seem to have designed an icon with the BTC logo on it.

This was pointed out by the user @brandanthny on Twitter earlier this week. You can see Brandon’s tweet here.

In the tweet, the Twitter user informed the community about what he had recently noticed. Even though we don’t know when the icon was added, Brandon confirmed that this is an icon that will be accessible on all apps on iOS devices.

This is a huge feat for the crypto space. Love it or hate it, sending icons are apart of the modern world and are a faster way to communicate. Having a Bitcoin icon at everyone’s fingertips could help the movement of mass adoption.

Microsoft Take Charge

At the end of last month, one of Apple’s biggest rivals, Microsoft announced that the Bitcoin sign would be accessible to users of one of the firm’s popular packages, Excel. Users are therefore able to easily add the Bitcoin logo to the necessary records, which would be as easy as adding any other currently available symbol.

International Adoption

Bitcoin’s success really depends on the acceptance it receives worldwide. Currently, worldwide acceptance is very low - with around one percent of the world’s population having used Bitcoin in one way or another.

The little things done by big firms like Apple and Microsoft contribute to spreading the word about Bitcoin just that little bit quicker.

As reported by ZyCrypto:

“Bitcoin’s usage has continued to rise over its ten years of existence. Bitcoin can be used to purchase books online, pay web hosting fees, purchase flight tickets, and so on.”
