Crypto Daily’s Anti-Smoking Campaign Goes Viral

We’ve got something different for you today. Now we all know about the dangers of smoking and that it has been linked to cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

In a recent video (see below) you will follow the journey of young Alfredo who goes up to numerous strangers asking them for a lighter so he can smoke.

The 12-year-old goes up to several people who are smoking and asks them for a light. The premise of the video is so Alfredo can see these strangers’ reaction when they see such a young person asking them for a light so he can smoke.

The strangers’ reactions are all as you would expect, shocked. They all say he shouldn’t be smoking at 12 years old and look at him with a confused reaction.

At the end of the video, Alfredo hands the strangers a note that says “you care for my health, what about yours?”

They all read the note and stop smoking straight away and put out their cigarettes.

Smoking Statistics

Most of us will know by now that smoking is one of the biggest killers in the world.

According to the National Health Service:

“Smoking causes at least 15 different types of cancer: lung, larynx, oesophagus, oral cavity, nasopharynx, pharynx, bladder, pancreas, kidney, liver, stomach, bowel, cervix, leukaemia, and ovarian cancers.

Incidence of some smoking-related cancers is decreasing thanks largely to decreases in smoking prevalence; these include lung cancer (decreasing in males), oesophageal cancer (decreasing in females), and laryngeal cancer. However, unless there is further progress in reducing tobacco exposure, these decreases are expected to slow and eventually stop.”

So if you are a smoker, make sure you quit now before it’s to late.
