Wietse Wind is the founder of a Ripple backed startup who wants to bring XRP to the forefront of e-commerce.
As well as Wind’s firm XRPL Labs, receiving up to three years worth of funding from Ripple, they have created a bounty that will go to any developer who builds a plugin that implements XRP with WooCommerce. The XRP community can contribute to the bounty, which has so far reached more than 3,000 XRP worth about $950.

For those that are unaware, it is estimated that WooCommerce is used by more than 3 million websites and is one of the leading payment platforms on the internet. Designed to work on WordPress, the e-commerce platform is estimated to stretch across 33 percent of all websites on the internet.
As well as other blockchain focused initiatives, XRPL Labs is developing a decentralised exchange, mobile wallet and cold crypto storage operating system.
In February, Ripple’s investment arm Xpring gave an undisclosed amount of XRP to the firm which will let Wind to look into project full time along with two other workers.
At the time, Wind said:
Investment DisclaimerI cannot describe what I feel right now, but I'll try ... 😳 Starting today @baltazar223, @ThisIsTRISS and I will be officially working full time on building a few killer XRPL apps... Thanks to Xpring funding 😎🎉https://t.co/dhgErN2EBl
