Bitcoin Jesus Could Be Sued Over BCH Hard Fork

United American Corp has filed a lawsuit against the CEO of Bitcoin.com, Roger Ver - also known as Bitcoin Jesus - according to a press release that was published yesterday. United American Corp has alleged that the defendants planned a scheme to take control of the Bitcoin Cash network.

The Florida based firm was founded in 1992, United American Corp is a development and management company which focuses on telecommunications and information technologies. The corporation manages a portfolio of patents and proprietary technology in telecoms, blockchain and social media. The company also provides heat for agricultural applications through its own BlockchainDomes stations which it operates.

As well as Ver, Bitmain, Bitcoin.com and the Kraken Bitcoin Exchange were also victims of the lawsuit which was filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida. The lawsuit claims that the defendant all used unfair methods and practices to manipulate the Bitcoin Cash network for their benefit and detriment of United American Corp and other stakeholders in Bitcoin Cash. furthermore, the press release states:

“UnitedCorp believes that the defendants colluded to effectively hijack the Bitcoin Cash network after the November 15, 2018 scheduled software update with the intent of centralizing the network — all in violation of the accepted standards and protocols associated with Bitcoin since its inception.”

As reported by CoinTelegraph, the Bitcoin Cash network underwent an update during the middle of November. This update divided the whole community into two factions, with one supporting Bitcoin Cash SV and the other who support Bitcoin Cash ABC. The management company has stated that the defendant took control of the coin’s network just after the upgrade by using ‘rented hashing’. The claims say that this led to the adoption of Bitcoin ABC rule sets, precluding other implantations from maintaining a democratic rule sets.

The lawsuit looks for injunctive relief against the defendants and the prevention of the perceived ongoing actions against the Bitcoin Cash network for the present and in the future. On top of this, the company looks for compensation, the value of which it claims will be determined at trial.
