XRP Talk Gets Real On Social Media

It’s all kicking off on Twitter for XRP. Since the token surpassed Ethereum last week, discussions regarding the asset’s long-term prospects have been coming in in waves, with the project’s dedicated (even cult) following taking to Twitter to show off their success. eToro’s Mati Greenspan took to Twitter over the weekend to answer a fans question saying:

As we reported earlier today, the CEO of Binance, Changpeng Zhao (CZ) had his say on the Ripple community too saying that ‘shill is strong’ just before he told his Twitter followers to flush this wanton ‘shilling’ out of their systems in an apparent joke.

When CZ was giving XRP enthusiasts a chance to express their opinions, while Bitcoin found a comfortable spot at $5,600 (now, the leading cryptocurrency has dropped just as rest of the market has). XRP went on its own self-contained micro bull-run in which it recently recovered from it’s November 14th multi-week low.

As reported by Ethereum World News, there are even calls for an altcoin season whereas others took these feelings to the next level with Twitter user Ripple Riddler taking to the social platform to express that “before EOY, XRP will be #1 for market cap. No riddles, straight up message. Big things are right around the corner.” Whether he was joking or not who knows…

What we do know though is that this message led to the controversial sentiment that at one point, XRP will even surpass Bitcoin before establishing solid ground over the whole industry in the future.

XRP was even on the receiving end of a few words said by CNBC Africa’s Ran NeuNer who claimed that Bitcoin Cash’s ongoing hashwar only shows us that investors “should dump Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash” and then reinvest their money into what is now the second biggest cryptocurrency by market cap, XRP.

The CNBC crypto reporter went onto issue a poll about how crypto investors would allocate their wealth into crypto over a ten year period. What surprised many was the XRP proponents which actually outed Bitcoin’s, beating the biggest cryptocurrency by around two thousand votes.
