This Ripple Announcement May See XRP Sky Rocket

The rumour mill is hot today. Is it because the markets are in a decline, do we need some good news to start shooting the markets up? Who knows? Snoop Dogg… it seems that Mr D O double G is next in line for the Ripple throne. Rumours of such an endorsement have been rife for some time, but now, it seems that an official announcement is on the horizon. We know Snoop likes to get high, so maybe, this partnership will push Ripple up high too. Pardon the pun. Why do we think an announcement is on the horizon? Well, yesterday, Ripple announced the details of the exclusive XRP Community Night, which is an invite only event, taking place on the 15th of May 2018. Snoop Dogg will be attending this event and thus will be performing to an audience there. According to the official statement by Ripple:

“This VIP gathering will feature a live music performance by Snoop Dogg. While this is an invite-only event, we will offer 10 tickets via Twitter over the coming weeks. Together, let’s raise a glass to celebrate the passion, focus and innovation of the XRP community and the revolutionary nature of the technology behind it!”

In the pursuit of XRP adoption, real endorsement from celebrities could go along way in ensuring the word of Ripple reaches the masses. At the moment, a lot of people won’t know anything about Ripple, but, many people know about Snoop Dogg. We have seen similar endorsements in the past with celebrities like DJ Khaled. Although, we know how that one ended up… If, and indeed if, Ripple start to gain attention from celebrities, then more people will head about XRP and Ripple’s services, therefore, in theory, more people may be inspired to buy in. In turn, this could indeed lead to a leap up in the value of XRP. Whilst this seems like an ideal situation, we can’t expect any Snoop Dogg announcements ti have an impact soon, what we will see however is attention from mainstream media, that is something that will leave Ripple in a very advantageous position.
